Would you like to be more involved at Mass?  Please attend a meeting for new Liturgical Ministers

There will be training for parishioners that are interested in learning more about one of the liturgical ministries listed below.  We ask that Liturgical Ministers commit to one Mass per month.  Currently, our greatest need for liturgical ministers is at the 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 6:00 p.m. Sunday Masses but there is room at all Mass times.  We invite you to prayerfully consider participating in one of these ministries.   If interested, or to learn more, please attend the training session on (there is no need to pre-register!):
Thursday, January 19
7:00 pm– Readers       7:45 pm-  Ushers
Thursday, January 26
7:00 pm   Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

If you have any questions/concerns, contact Steve Long at 612-328-1544 or Cindy Woitalla, ext 232, at the parish office.   Not only is serving at Mass a blessing to the parish family, but you also receive graces in heaven.  Please look into your heart to see if the Lord is calling you to serve in one of these ministries.

Ash Wednesday falls on February 22nd this year.  We will be posting our schedule of Lenten observances here as the date draws closer.

OUR MISSION PRAYER

Glory and praise to You, O Lord.  In humble gratitude for the enduring faith of St. Michael Catholic Church, we turn to You for guidance.  Grant us the wisdom to comprehend Your mission for us, and the courage to joyfully bring it to completion.  Transform our minds by Your truth, our hearts by Your love, and our actions for Your service.  Abounding in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit, may we become a people living for ChristAmen.

In fall of 2009 St. Michael Catholic Church embarked on a strategic planning process.  It began with a comprehensive parishioner survey.  The results from the survey were combined with demographic and other background information for use by the strategic planning team.  The team was composed of 40+ individuals from the parish, including our clergy, staff, and lay leaders from a  broad swath of committees and ministries.  The results of the process were the mission prayer, a set of visionary goals, and a preliminary 2-year action plan.  Included here are four documents for your information; two that came out of the planning process, and two from Town Hall Presentations to our parishioners.
