Prayer Vigil For Men
We are hosting a 24-hour vigil for men of the parish to pray for their families starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 13. The prayer vigil will be held at a bonfire on the Church grounds. If you can give an hour in prayer, please sign up using this link: http://vols.pt/YXfHYA. This is part of our response to the Catholic Watchmen initiative aimed at engaging men to better protect our families.
Final Preparation Underway for Confirmation!
We will have a Sending Rite for StMCS 8th-graders and STMA 10th-graders preparing to be confirmed this year at the 6 p.m. Mass on Sunday, May 1. Parents, sponsors, and students are strongly encouraged to attend. Students will be recognized at this Mass.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place at a special 7 p.m. Mass on Tuesday, May 3, at St. Michael Catholic Church. Please plan to arrive an hour early to get parked and seated and to receive special instructions prior to the start of Mass. A group of parents are planning a light reception for St. Michael families after the Mass. For details on Confirmation Mass, please check out our Confirmation Day Q&A.
The newly Confirmed will be recognized and receive a special blessing at each of the Masses on Sunday, May 8. Please attend whichever Mass you prefer!
Thanks again for a great year this year! We will be planning next year’s program in earnest once Confirmation is finished. In the meantime, if you have questions, contact Jim or Kathy at the parish office, 763-497-2745.

OUR MISSION PRAYER
Glory and praise to You, O Lord. In humble gratitude for the enduring faith of St. Michael Catholic Church, we turn to You for guidance. Grant us the wisdom to comprehend Your mission for us, and the courage to joyfully bring it to completion. Transform our minds by Your truth, our hearts by Your love, and our actions for Your service. Abounding in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit, may we become a people living for Christ. Amen.
In fall of 2009 St. Michael Catholic Church embarked on a strategic planning process. It began with a comprehensive parishioner survey. The results from the survey were combined with demographic and other background information for use by the strategic planning team. The team was composed of 40+ individuals from the parish, including our clergy, staff, and lay leaders from a broad swath of committees and ministries. The results of the process were the mission prayer, a set of visionary goals, and a preliminary 2-year action plan. Included here are four documents for your information; two that came out of the planning process, and two from Town Hall Presentations to our parishioners.
