LIFT Classes Begin This Coming Week!
Our first LIFT classes are this Sunday, Oct. 4, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.; this Monday, Oct. 5, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and this Wednesday, Oct. 7, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The following week is the annual MEA break for STMA schools, so First Communion and Confirmation classes will begin Wednesday, Oct. 21 – 6 to 7 p.m. for First Communicants and the parents; 7 to 8:30 for Confirmation students and their parents.

STMA Life Chain 2015
The 3rd annual STMA Life Chain is taking place on Sunday, October 4th from 3 to 4 p.m. along County Road 19 between Hwy 241 and 57th Street NE. Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful witness of pro-life individuals praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. We have had great support from our parish for this event. Monthly Children’s Holy Hour at the Historic Church
Want to encourage your children to pray and get to know Jesus on a more personal level? Join us for our beautiful monthly Children’s Holy Hour beginning on this Monday, Oct. 5, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the historic church on Hwy 19 in St. Michael. Parish, public, and home school children kindergarten and up and their parents are invited for scripture, reflection, prayer, and adoration of the Holy Eucharist with Fr. Joah Ellis. Children’s Holy Hour will be held the first Monday of each month through the end of the school year, except in December, when it will be the second Monday. Novena for Synod on the Family
For parishioners praying the nine-day novena for the Holy Spirit's guidance at the upcoming Synod of Bishops on the Family, we will have a communal prayer service to conclude the novena on Saturday, October 3rd immediately following the 5:00 p.m. Mass.
St. Vincent de Paul Fall Collection
Our local Society of St. Vincent de Paul conference is holding a fall collection drive on October 10th. Your donations of clothing, furniture and household items will greatly help them in their efforts to support the needy. The drop off location is St. Michael Catholic School, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Please see attached for more details, and see the donation guidelines here.

In fall of 2009 St. Michael Catholic Church embarked on a strategic planning process. It began with a comprehensive parishioner survey. The results from the survey were combined with demographic and other background information for use by the strategic planning team. The team was composed of 40+ individuals from the parish, including our clergy, staff, and lay leaders from a broad swath of committees and ministries. The results of the process were the mission prayer, a set of visionary goals, and a preliminary 2-year action plan. Included here are four documents for your information; two that came out of the planning process, and two from Town Hall Presentations to our parishioners.
