First Holy Communion This Weekend and Next
More than 130 Learning In Faith Together (LIFT) and St. Michael Catholic School students will make their First Holy Communion at special 1:30 p.m. Masses this Sunday, April 19 (primarily parish school students), and next Sunday, April 26 (primarily LIFT students). Practice for both groups will be the Saturday before at 9 a.m. at the church.
An insert with a complete listing of all First Communicants will appear in the church bulletin for the weekend of April 25-26. Please contact Jim Thorp at email@example.com with questions!
Catholic Services Appeal Update
As of today we are $12,000 behind last year's pace for CSA pledges from our parish. At this rate we will not reach our goal, which is what triggers us to receive 25% back for our parish (about $20,000 this year). Besides the CSA being a good cause in itself, we have the rebate already built into our budget for next year, so we really hope to reach our goal. If you have not yet made a pledge, please prayerfully consider doing so. If you need another pledge card, we have them in the parish office and at the welcome center in the gathering space.
Annual Tootsie Roll Drive
The Knights of Columbus will be conducting their annual tootsie roll drive this weekend after all Masses. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics and programs for the intellectually disabled. Thanks for your support.

OUR MISSION PRAYER
Glory and praise to You, O Lord. In humble gratitude for the enduring faith of St. Michael Catholic Church, we turn to You for guidance. Grant us the wisdom to comprehend Your mission for us, and the courage to joyfully bring it to completion. Transform our minds by Your truth, our hearts by Your love, and our actions for Your service. Abounding in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit, may we become a people living for Christ. Amen.
In fall of 2009 St. Michael Catholic Church embarked on a strategic planning process. It began with a comprehensive parishioner survey. The results from the survey were combined with demographic and other background information for use by the strategic planning team. The team was composed of 40+ individuals from the parish, including our clergy, staff, and lay leaders from a broad swath of committees and ministries. The results of the process were the mission prayer, a set of visionary goals, and a preliminary 2-year action plan. Included here are four documents for your information; two that came out of the planning process, and two from Town Hall Presentations to our parishioners.
