Everyone is welcome to join the Preservation Committee as they say a rosary at the Historic Church on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  The next rosary will be on September 8th.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Confirmation Retreat Less Than One Month Away!

Confirmation parents: The retreats for both 9th- and 10th-grade students will be in September and will be led by NET Teams from St. Paul.

  • 9th-Grade Confirmation Retreat: Friday, Sept. 16, and Saturday, Sept. 17, at Lake Beauty Bible Camp in Long Prairie, MN –- drop-off at St. Michael Catholic School at 4 p.m. Friday (buses leave at 4:15) and pick-up at St. Michael Catholic School at approximately 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Register now for the 9th Grade Retreat!
  • 10th-Grade Confirmation Retreat: Saturday, Sept. 17, and Sunday, Sept. 18, at Lake Beauty Bible Camp in Long Prairie, MN – drop-off at St. Michael Catholic School at 3:30 p.m. Saturday (buses leave at 3:45) and pick-up at St. Michael Catholic School at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Register now for the 10th-Grade Retreat!

The retreat is an archdiocesan requirement of Confirmation preparation, so please make every effort to attend. 

Also, if your teen is involved in fall sports, please contact their coaches ASAP to let them know your teen will be unable to practice or compete these days. Most STMA coaches are very understanding, and scheduling a makeup retreat may be challenging for your teen!

Finally, please note that we will be dropping off and picking up for these retreats at St. Michael Catholic School to avoid weekend Mass traffic.

Sign Up Now for VIRTUS Training

Any St. Michael Catholic School or parish volunteers who have not yet attended VIRTUS training can do so on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gathering Space at St. Michael Catholic Church, or on Monday, Sept.19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room. This one-time training session takes roughly three hours to complete.

This class is available on a first-come-first-served basis, so please preregister by going to and clicking Registration, then following the onscreen instructions. Please note: the new online registration process will also require you to complete the criminal background check forms and Volunteer Code of Conduct required by the Archdiocese.
