Learning in Faith Together is a parish-wide lifelong faith formation program.  LIFT is offered to all our parishioners; young children, individuals, couples, families, singles, teenagers, widows/widowers, and senior citizens.  Adult catechesis is the focus with support and materials to help parents to form their child’s faith at home. With LIFT all parish members work, learn and pray together. Parishioners share their faith with each other and learn from individual experiences.  The curriculum is based on the teaching from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and covers knowledge of the faith, liturgical life, moral formation, prayer, and evangelism.  Visit the LIFT page.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process by which individuals who would like to deepen their relationship with God and learn more about the Catholic Church meet to pray and hear teachings about the Catholic Church and what Catholics believe and do.  RCIA participants discuss the teachings and assigned readings and share, if they wish, their own spiritual experiences.  It is also a means for adults to prepare for the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.  Those who are non-Catholics are welcome to join the Church at the conclusion of the process, but there is no obligation to do so.  All are welcome!

There are a number of lectionary-based faith sharing groups in the parish.  Some groups meet at parish facilities and others in their home.  Times vary with each group.

Christ Renews His Parish, often pronounced "Chirp," is a weekend retreat designed to bring parish members together in Christ and emphasizes continued growth in Christian life.  It is conducted in parishes throughout the United States.  During the weekend you will find love and laughter, great food and friendship, and a renewed sense of belonging to this parish.

Separate retreat weekends are held for men and women, and take place at St. Michael Catholic School.  Each retreat is open to 25 participants who are parishioners or prospective parishioners of St. Michael or St. Albert Parish, and over the age of 18.

Parish Liaisons are trained to help explain the Declaration of Nullity (annulment) process and help  people complete the application and other paperwork that needs to be submitted to the Metropolitan Tribunal. A person seeks a declaration of nullity in order to obtain a definitive judgment on the sacrament nature of his/her prior bond(s).  This judgment determines if a person is free to marry in the Catholic Church, and may provide the person with peace of mind and/or closure.  A declaration of nullity is a must for any divorced person who seeks possible remarriage in the Catholic Church.   However, all divorced Catholics should prayerfully consider seeking an declaration of nullity, even if they don’t have intention of future relationships.  For those that plan to have future relationships, it is best done before one decides to start dating again.

This one day retreat is for engaged or recently married couples.  Pope John Paul II presented a number of conferences on the subject of marriage, sexual, intimacy and the spiritual life.  It came to be known a the “Theology of the Body” and many discovered its beauty and profound influences.

Mentor couples minister to engaged couples preparing for marriage.  This entails meeting with an engaged couple a few times over a couple of weeks to discuss the results of their “FOCUS” inventory, which addresses topics related to marriage such as children, in-laws, sexuality, spirituality and finances.  Mentor couples pastorally provide guidance to couples and need to have an understanding of where a couple is currently at with their faith and gently guiding and giving a better understanding of the church’s teachings.

Provides a fun opportunity for all married couples to experience fellowship, formation and enrichment with fellow parishioners.  Generally, meets the 2nd Sat of the month.

NFP is a modern, scientific and natural means of postponing, avoiding or achieving pregnancy.  It requires no drugs, devices or surgical procedures.  Classes are offered in our parish.

Catholic moms offer friendship and support as we live out our vocations as Catholic mothers.  We meet for speakers/discussions, pray/play and Mom’s night out.

We will be offering Children's Liturgy of the Word during one Sunday Mass. Details will follow.

The Early Catholic Family Life (ECFL) program is offered to parishioners in our church classrooms on Sunday afternoons, 3:00 - 5:00 pm, at different months during the year.  The free 7-session, 2-hour class consists of a parent-child interaction component, a parent discussion time, and a children's time.  This program emphasizes the importance of putting faith at the center of family life at the earliest stages.  ECFL is a parent-child program developed through the Archdiocesan Office of Marriage and Family Life.  The program has been created specifically for parents of children aged 1 to 5 years old.  ECFL gives Catholic parents an opportunity to learn more about passing their Catholic faith on to their children, to discuss faith education with other Catholic parents, and to have fun learning more about God together.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a popular event at our church!  About 175 kids attend the first week in August each year to enjoy music, crafts, lessons, snacks and skits about Jesus' church.  To visit the VBS page, click here.
