Biography

Growing up in a southwest suburb of Minneapolis, I attended Catholic schools for elementary through high school (Once a Red Knight, Always a Red Knight) and am so grateful for the education I received.  It inspired my desire to be a life long learner, and a Catholic school teacher.  After receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from St. Cloud State University in 1998, I began teaching kindergarten at St. Bartholomew's in Wayzata, MN in 1999 where I taught for 4 years. I taught kindergarten at Sts. Peter and Paul in Lorretto, MN for 2 years prior to joining the staff at St. Michael Catholic School in 2007.  During my time here at St. Michael Catholic School I have taught kindergarten and second grade.  While teaching second grade I earned my Master's Degree in Reading Education as well as a Certificate of Technology and Learning both from the University of St. Thomas.  I am so excited for my newest adventure, teaching 5th and 6th Grade Science!

My husband and I have three children.  Our oldest is an alum of StMCS, and our younger two are students here. When I am not at school I can be found at a variety of my children's activities cheering them on.  I also enjoy working out, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this Catholic community where I can share my faith and love of learning with my students.
