School Advisory Council
Finance Committee: This committee meets the second Tuesday of the month, after the evening Mass, in the choir room. Members monitor the overall health of the parish’s finances, financial controls, and recommend improvements. They review and approve the yearly budget that is prepared and proposed by the parish administrator. The pastor appoints members. Contact Rick Petrich at email@example.com.
Altar & Environment Committee: Committee members plan and evaluate liturgies, according to the liturgical calendar, working to foster a beautiful worship space, in accord with Catholic worship guidelines. They coordinate and care for the flowers and seasonal decorations inside and outside of the church. They also review the effectiveness and needs of the liturgical ministers. Those that have a gift for decorating and/or have a green thumb for plants and flowers, and that wish to deepen their knowledge of the liturgy will enjoy this committee. School Advisory Council (SAC): The SAC meets the first Tuesday of the month. Members serve a 3-year term, and are either appointed by the pastor or discerned for membership. Members advise on the educational programs and operations of St. Michael Catholic School, as well as providing input on policies. Contact Lisa Zipp at 763-497-8189 or email@example.com.
Stewardship Council: The Stewardship Council is responsible for supporting the pastoral vision and ministry of St. Michael Catholic Church. This is accomplished through fostering stewardship as a way of life within all aspects of the parish community. The Council seeks to create opportunities for the parish to increase its ability to recognize, accept and share God’s abundant blessings and gifts each day. The Stewardship Council offers cooperation and guidance to the pastor on issues and concerns related to the good of the parish.
