7th & 8th Grade Social Studies, 8th Grade Religion
Teaching has been a part of my life since 1991; teaching at the high school level, elementary level and currently at the middle school level. Presently, I love teaching at St. Michael Catholic School and have been doing so since 2009. Teaching 8th grade Global Studies, 7th grade United States History and 8th grade religion has been my current passion. This next year I will be teaching of 8th grade religion. St. Michael Catholic School holds a special place in my heart as I attended this school as a third through 6th grader. In addition, all three of my children have attended this school and now I have been blessed to be able to teach here. The community support, the ability to pray and bring God into all our subjects and the awesome staff make teaching and working at StMCS great.
My educational background includes St. Michael Catholic School, St. Michael-Albertville Public Schools and Gustavus Adolphus College. At Gustavus Adolphus College I received a Bachelor Degree of Arts in History and Secondary 7-12 Social Studies Education. I also attended Mankato State University where I earned my coaching certificate. Before teaching at StMCS, I have taught at Fairmont High School and St. Michael-Albertville High School in a variety of social studies subjects.
I am blessed to have three children and a wonderful husband. My two older boys attend college; one at University of North Dakota and one at Concordia College in Moorhead. My daughter attends St.Michael-Albertville High School. My hobbies include attending sporting events to watch my children, reading, camping and enjoying any and all family moments.
