It's official: The BOLD FUTURE Campaign is more than halfway to its initial $8M fundraising goal to add a social hall, multipurpose space and formation space to our church facility. Last weekend was our first official commitment weekend, and numerous parish families responded:
- 90+ new households committed to the campaign (for a total of 285 to date)
- $400K+ in new pledges (for a total of $4.2M to date)
We also gained another $600K in cash in hand, for a total of $1.8M to date. This number is important as well, since the more money we have in hand, the sooner construction can begin.
We continue to build momentum in other ways, as well.
Building Committee Selected
A Building Committee has been formed to work with our architect, ATS&R, on the design of our new facilities. The committee members were selected to bring a mix of expertise and perspectives to the process based on their backgrounds, as well as their involvement in various dimensions of our parish life. Committee Members are listed to the right.
Construction Manager Selected
Following a thorough search, the Building Committee recently selected Mortenson Construction to serve as construction manager on the project. Nine candidates were invited to bid on the project, seven proposals were submitted, and three candidates were invited to make final presentations before Mortenson was selected.
Virtual Town Hall Next Wednesday at 6:30 PM
More recently we have begun to flesh out designs for the new social hall, multipurpose space and formation space adjacent to our church. For a first look at these designs, mark your calendars for a virtual Town Hall on the evening of Wednesday, December 16 at 6:30 PM on our parish YouTube channel.
If you have yet to make a three-year pledge —or a gift of any size—to the campaign, please consider doing so as soon as you are able. And please, pray for our parish and school as we seek to bring Jesus into the world today. Have a very merry Christmas! #StMCCBold
