EFC 'Day' Camps Means No Confessions Tuesday, Adoration Moves Back to Chapel

Next week, Aug. 10-13 in the evenings, STMA Catholic Youth Ministry will be hosting Extreme Faith Camp (EFC) 'Day' Camps for students in grades 7-9 onsite at St. Michael Catholic Church, both outdoors and in the church.

EFC Day Camp requires a few changes to other activities for the coming week:

  • Adoration will move back to the Adoration chapel permanently after Mass this Friday. All regular, scheduled adorers will sign in and adore in the Adoration chapel. In order to maintain social distancing, the chapel has limited capacity. VISITORS: If you stop in to adore during regular hours (8 AM-4 PM weekdays) and all the seats are taken, you may go into the church to pray before the tabernacle, provided there is not an event scheduled. If the chapel is full and the church is locked, or if there is an event in the church, please come back at another time.
  • We will NOT have our regular parish Confessions next Tuesday evening before Mass. Our priests will be hearing youth confessions Tuesday evening. If you need the sacrament of Reconciliation, please come at one of the other regularly scheduled times: Saturday, 7:30 to 9 AM or 3:30 to 4:45 PM; Sunday, 9:30 to 10:15 AM; or Thursday, 8 to 8:30 AM.
  • The EFC Day Camp youth will be attending Mass next Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM. The church will be somewhat fuller, louder and more active than usual for a daily Mass. Other parishioners are welcome to attend, but just know that this will not be a typical Tuesday evening Mass.

Please pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our campers and team next week, and that everyone in our community be healthy, safe and blessed!
