Parishioners may have noticed the appearance of a new, larger outdoor Nativity between the church and Frankfort Parkway in recent weeks. (See photos below.) A number of parishioners and ministries contributed to the new manger scene, including:
- The parish's Fiacres Garden, in honor of Carol Blesener and the garden.
- Mary Becker, in honor of her granddaughter who passed away.
- Wayne Becker, who built the new creche.
The old Nativity was in rough shape after many years of use. When Fr. Brian Park suggested that the new scene be more visible to the public, the parish decided to replace the older baby Jesus figure, which had been damaged and repaired more than once. Wayne Becker repaired the old creche, and it was again placed by the main entrance for parishioners to enjoy on their way to and from Mass.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to upgrading our Nativities!
