Daily Update for Monday, March 30

The parish office will be closed to the public and minimally staffed to support essential operations and emergency pastoral needs at least through Friday, April 10. We will continue to livestream all scheduled Masses to provide for the spiritual needs of our community. Please watch and share these daily updates for additional information or changes.

Sacraments and Prayer

Deacon Steele’s Funeral. Dcn. Greg Steele’s funeral will be Wednesday, April 1, at 11 AM. The funeral Mass will be livestreamed, but only his children and their spouses may attend in person. Visitation and burial will both be private. A memorial Mass and luncheon will be scheduled as soon as the virus containment measures are lifted. Adoration will be suspended from 10 AM to 1 PM for the private funeral Mass.

Livestreamed Masses, Rosaries, Adoration and Stations of the Cross. All scheduled weekend Masses as well as Perpetual Adoration will be livestreamed here, as well as Stations of the Cross Tuesdays at 1 PM and Fridays at 7 PM. We are also livestreaming our regular schedule of rosaries:

  • Shortly after daily Mass on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
  • Tuesdays at 6 PM
  • Saturdays at 4:30 PM
  • Sundays at 7:30 AM

Confessions Schedule. Scheduled Confession times at St. Michael are as follows:

  • Tuesday, March 31, 5:15 PM
  • Thursday, April 2, 8 AM
  • Friday, April 3, 6 PM (corrected from yesterday’s update)
  • Saturday, April 4, 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM
  • Sunday, April 5, 9:30 AM
  • Monday, April 6, 7 PM
Study and Formation

Free Virtual Bible Study with Jeff Cavins. It’s not too late: Tonight at 7 PM Central Time, Jeff Cavins is leading Walking Toward Eternity Special Edition, a free virtual Bible study about hope and suffering that was created in response to the coronavirus. Each session will be 45 minutes long; to tune in, visit Ascension Press’s Facebook page.

Online Holy Week Retreat. The Archdiocese is inviting all the faithful to participate in a free, week-long, virtual Holy Week Retreat beginning Palm Sunday, April 5, and culminating with the Easter Vigil Mass from the Cathedral of Saint Paul on April 11. Details are available on the Archdiocese Holy Week webpage.

Free Men’s and Women’s e-Conferences. Free online conferences for men and women, featuring outstanding Catholic speakers from across the country, are scheduled for the first week of April. Register online for free.
