Extreme Faith Camp Cancelled, Day Camp Planned for August

The St. Michael-Albertville Catholic Youth Ministry team announced last night that Extreme Faith Camp (EFC) 2020 is officially cancelled, but that they are planning Extreme Faith “DAY” Camp on the evenings of August 10-13 at the parishes. Registration for Extreme Faith “DAY” Camp (for both campers and team members) will be available online July 1. Keep an eye out for an email or check stmacatholicyouth.org for details. Parishioners who had paid for EFC should have received an email with refund information last night. Contact the Youth Ministry team with questions!

Pentecost Weekend at St. Michael

Limited public Masses are available this weekend, according to our regular schedule: Saturday at 5 PM; Sunday at 8 AM, 10:30 AM and 6 PM. Livestreaming continues, and no one is required to attend Mass if they are not comfortable or if it is unsafe for them to do so. If you are sick or are caring for or living with someone who is sick, please stay home and join us via livestream at youtube.com/c/StMichaelCatholicChurchStMichaelMN. Things will look differently at Mass for the time being. Take time to review Fr. Richards’s letter to parishioners and/or the more detailed list of protocols on our homepage, stmcatholicchurch.org, before attending this weekend, so you know what to expect. Have a blessed Pentecost—come, Holy Spirit!

Opportunity to Honor Dcn. Steele

For many years Dcn. Greg Steele poured himself out for those most in need, both spiritually and materially, in our parish and community, and his discipleship changed many, many lives for the better. Now we have the opportunity to honor his memory by helping his family cover his medical and end-of-life expenses, which were extensive since his stroke in September. Please consider making a donation in Dcn. Greg’s memory – and please pray for his family, friends and all those he served so well. Donations can be made at gofundme.com/f/deacon-greg-steele-memorial.

What happens will depend on the reason and the restrictions from the Archdiocese and the state. Hopefully it will not come to that.
