Last Night’s Baccalaureate Mass and Speaker on YouTube Channel

Our livestream went down briefly during Mass last night, but we managed to record the entire Baccalaureate Mass and both speakers (parishioner and teacher Bob Zahler and alumnus and FOCUS missionary Luke Eicher). Check it out here:

Corpus Christi Procession This Sunday After 10:30 AM Mass

Our annual Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession will be following the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, June 14. Please mark your calendars and join us if you are able. Weather permitting, we will walk from the church to altars in the Peterson Funeral Home Parking Lot, the StMCS parking lot, the rectory and the St. Michael statue near the main entrance of the church. We plan to stream the procession via Facebook Live at if you are not able to attend in person.

Celebrate Fr. Richards and Say Farewell

The weekend of June 20-21 will be Fr. Richards’s last days here at St. Michael. After each Mass, he will be available to say goodbye to parishioners either outdoors or in the gathering area. For those who are not yet attending Mass in person, you can drive through the circle in front of the church to see Father beginning at around 12:45 PM on Sunday. Given social distancing requirements, we ask the you be patient and mindful of those around you from other households as you wait—and as brief as you can be when it’s your turn with our beloved pastor! Follow on-site directions, and let’s give him a great sendoff!

Justice, Healing and Forgiveness Initiative Coming Soon

In the coming weeks, our parish will be hosting a series of events on Restorative Justice, Healing and Forgiveness in collaboration with the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The first two events have already been scheduled:

  • Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28: Restorative Justice and Healing Circles. Dan Griffith will be preaching at 5 PM Mass on Saturday and 8:30 and 10:30 AM Masses on Sunday on the topic of restorative justice, followed by an opportunity to experience healing circles firsthand after the 10:30 AM Mass.
  • Wednesday, July 8: The Imprint of Trauma. Laura Harder, a compassion fatigue therapist, will speak on abuse from the survivor’s perspective. Attendees will gain a basic understanding of how trauma effect psychology and perception and what makes it difficult for survivors to move past it.

Watch our bulletin, website and Facebook page in the coming weeks for details—and check out this blog post/bulletin column introducing these initiative:
