  The annual Friends of the Poor Walk raises awareness and money to support those in need in our community. Individuals and families can walk, donate, or raise money—or do all three if you are able! Last year's event attracted 145 walkers and raised more than $21,000 for the mission of our local conference! Register to walk using the form below.
  
  Every new walker will receive a Friends of the Poor water bottle, and every walker will receive one free raffle ticket and this year's custom water bottle sticker!
  
  This year's Friends of the Poor Walk is scheduled for Sunday, September 22—registration at noon; walk at 12:30 PM with lunch to follow; 1 1/2-mile walk begins and ends at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11300 Frankfort Parkway NE in St. Michael.

  Don't forget to encourage friends and families to support you or your team; the individual or team raising the most money will be recognized at the lunch following the walk, and all of the money raised goes to support the mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul here in our community.
  
  Cash and check donations should be clearly labeled "Friends of the Poor Walk" and can be left at the St. Michael Catholic Church parish office, placed in the collection basket at Mass, or turned in at the event. Make checks payable to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

  Accident Waiver and Release of Liability
  I recognize and acknowledge that there are inherent risks in my presence and participation in the St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run on Sunday, September 22, 2024. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability form will be used by the event holders, sponsors and organizers, in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said events. In consideration of my registration and participation in this event, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns as follows:
  Waive, Release and Discharge from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to me or my traveling to and from this event, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives and agents, event holders, event sponsors, event directors and volunteers;
  Indemnify and Hold Harmless the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made by other individuals and entities as a result of any of my actions during this event.
  I am aware the Society of St. Vincent de Paul does not provide health and accident coverage for me and it is my responsibility to pay any medical bills from injuries sustained while participating in the Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run.
  
  I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this event.
  
  I understand that at this event or related activities, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors organizations and assigns.
