St. Michael Catholic Church and School

Grade 2: Mrs. Johnson

Mrs. Lynn Johnson

Grade 2

Growing up in Rogers, I began my education at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic School (formerly St. Martin's) for first through sixth grades. After graduating from Elk River High School, I moved on to Bemidji State University (GO BEAVERS!) to complete my Bachelor's Degree in elementary education. I've since received my Master's Degree in elementary education.

After marrying my college sweetheart, we moved here and I began my first and only teaching job here at St. Michael Catholic School. After starting out teaching kindergarten, I eventually "graduated" to first grade and have now been teaching second grade for over 15 years. With more than 20 years at StMCS, I can say I absolutely love this school and community! Preparing students for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are among the highlights of teaching second grade.

My husband and I have a 6 year old son, Jayden, who attends school here at StMCS. I love to spend time with my family playing and attending all kinds of sports such as baseball, football, volleyball, and golf. I enjoy traveling, pilates, walking, and spending time away at the lake during those hot summer days.

Prayers to Practice:

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Act of Contrition

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my, God, have mercy. Amen.

Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
