I always knew I would become a teacher, but I thought it would be my “job.” Now I know it is my vocation, and God has led me through a beautiful career in Catholic education. I grew up in the Plymouth/ Wayzata area and graduated from Wayzata High School. I went to college at The College of St. Benedict and majored in elementary education with a social science specialty. I received my Master’s degree in education from St. Mary’s University. I recently graduated from the Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute.
I have been teaching in Catholic schools since 1998. I taught at Good Shepherd School for 16 years, and I started teaching at StMCS in 2014.
My husband, Matt, and I have two children. One is a recent graduate of StMCS and the other is a current student. We live in St. Michael and we love to go camping and boating together.
I was a StMCS parent before I was a teacher, and it was through witnessing the wonderful education that my children were receiving that I began to think that I would like to teach in this faith-filled environment. I enjoy having a whole classroom of future disciples come into my room each day.
